Meridian

Meridian School of English is part of the Tellus Group, they provide language training for foreign students visiting the UK, but also manage to extend the experience to other areas including Work Experience and even sending students from the UK abroad to learn languages too. 

After working with Tellus on a growing number of design projects we were asked to consult after Tellus acquired the Meridian brand, and rebrand the school which was to extend to cover locations in both Portsmouth and Plymouth. The school already used a sailing ship for a logo and whilst it would have been great to wipe the slate clean and start again we couldn’t escape the heritage that these two maritime cities were blessed with. Despite trying a few options we really liked the idea of a ship and so we stripped it right back to a very simple sail form and integrated the sail into the Meridian word. It wasn’t exactly rocket science but we really liked the end result and it now sits on everything including the front of their buildings, brochures and website.
